Having all of this functionality on your iPhone or iPad is impressive (and the best home design software costs a lot more than this one -- US$3.99 for the iPhone and $4.99 for the iPad), but Home 3D does it with an impressive interface and a surprising number of features. You can use a color picker and choose from a set of pre-loaded furniture, buy more with in-app purchases, or try creating your own models or even using the iPhone's camera for textures...Home 3D does the trick.

Home 3d is not the first 3-D app for the iPhone, nor is it the first home layout app, but it is definitely the best combination of both that I have found.

While it’s relatively simple to build your 3D home they have provided 12 separate videos guiding you through how to manage each part of your build. Each of them are well presented as well and are certainly worth sitting through....Home 3D is a really good app making home design a breeze...

...Black Mana Studios also presents the most comprehensive and useful ‘Help’ section I have ever come across...The 3D graphics are certainly impressive...

I really like this app. I can try new paint color & rearrange furniture, all on my iPhone. Very handy for giving clients an idea of what my design ideas are.

This is a great app that works simply and smoothly, perfect for the amateur designer and home renovator. As an architect I can see a number of limitations but with some changes I could see this being used to develop quick design ideas that could be presented to clients on the spot. Worth keeping an eye on for future updates.

Usually I don't buy apps without some reviews or ratings. I took a chance on this one only due to the video demo on their website. I works just as well as the demo said it would. The interface is nice and the graphics very good. There are performance issues on complex drawings but this isn't surprising(gets slower with more rendering). The app is worth what I paid, but the addon packs are too expensive (materials, furniture, etc). Need to add stairs. A community gallery for sharing designs would be great.
